Sweet Escape is a band with an
alternative rock jive with a lot of heart and soul in their lyrics! They are on the cutting edge of a new style of music! The members of the band include Cindy Pelland-lead vocals & rhythm guitar and Mark Bowman-lead guitar and bass, Although other band members have come and gone through the past few years, Mark and Cindy remain the constant in this band. The two were introduced by a mutual friend who insisted they meet (calling it divine intervention), when they decided to become a musical team. The two lived in the same neighborhood for 7 years and had never met. They instantly made a connection,a friendship and an artistry where their combined efforts paid off through their music. Deciding on a band name has led them through many variations when they finally decided on"Sweet Escape" due to the fact that their weekly band practice was their sweet escape from their everyday reality. Although their backgrounds have led them through different genres of music, eras and lifetime experiences, they have come together as one unity through their music. This band has an amazing way of combining their talents to create an authentic style. They are currently working on creating their upcoming album called "Crossroads" which they will release this summer 2012. In the meantime they continue to perform original and cover songs at gigs in local pubs. Check out their upcoming shows! |

We've reached a cross in the road
We are iin the middle of recording our 2nd album "Crossroads"....we are so psyched for this one! Wait til you hear it! There is so much heart and soul in the lyrics, melodies and music from all of our life experiences and you will hear it! Life's journey....love and heartbreak creates some amazing music that we hope touches your life and helps you feel like you're not alone!! We will be releasing it this summer!! Sorry but we don't have any gigs for a couple of months while we record because any "free time" we have is in the studio! We promise we are worth the wait! We want to wish all of our familes, friends and fans a very happy holiday and happy new year! Check back in January to find out our upcoming shows for 2012! We will be busy recording our next album in the studio for the next few weeks!

Topsfield Fair was a hit!
Thanks to everyone who came out last night to hear us play for opening night at the Topsfield Fair! We had a blast! Our new bass player Ranger Dave was an amazing addition to our trio! We kicked ass! So many of our old and new fans came down to show support along with some others who will now jump on the Sweet Escape band wagon! We were so happy with the whole day! After we packed up, we all went out to celebrate our success with margaritas and fajitas at Acapulco's in Beverly! We practiced so hard for this gig and it paid off! Next year we hope to play the Trianon Stage! Please put in a good word for us on the Topsfield Fair website if you want us back next year! Thanks for all of your support...we couldn't do it without you!!! We love you!
